Avery Dennison has been named the overall market leader in ABI Research’s first-ever Digital Product Passport (DPP) vendor competitive ranking report. The competitive assessment by the global technology intelligence firm provides an in-depth examination of the leading DPP software providers and their solution capabilities, ahead of the legal implementation mandates. DPP aims to improve traceability and transparency along a product's entire value chain while driving the management and sharing of product-related data, helping to ensure sustainable use, prolonged life, and circularity. DPPs will be legally required in the EU for several product categories as part of the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), with the rollout of DPPs for textiles expected no later than 2030.
